The Webchair is a personal telepresence display for one-on-one or one-on-few communications. It allows a life size image of a person to be displayed into an office chair during web or video conferences. In creating a real sense of presence, the Webchair allows for a natural, more personal interaction between people communicating from a distance.
Webchair is a startup company founded in 2007 by the Canadian inventor and roboteer Graham Smith (49) and the Dutch director and marketeer Guido Beauchez (53). Webchair is a registered brandname of Presence Displays VOF, based in The Hague, The Netherlands.
